GRADES 6–8 | ALTERNATING WEDNESDAYS, 7-9PM

Middle school is a time of change, growth, and big questions. Between school, friendships, family, and discovering who they are, young people have a lot going on. It's also an important time for them to begin making their faith their own.

That's where EDGE comes in!

EDGE is Holy Family Parish's Catholic youth ministry for students in Grades 6–8. Our goal is to create a welcoming community where young people can build meaningful friendships, explore their faith, ask questions, and encounter Jesus Christ in a real and personal way.

Through games, engaging talks, small group discussions, prayer, and exciting events throughout the year, EDGE helps young people discover that their faith isn't just something they learn about at church — it's something they can live out in their everyday lives.

Whether your child is already involved in the Church or is just beginning to explore their faith, there's a place for them at EDGE!

What Happens at EDGE?

No two EDGE nights are exactly alike, but each one is designed to bring our youth together, help them grow in their faith, and give them opportunities to build lasting friendships.

Gather & Games - We kick things off with music, games, and activities that help everyone feel welcome, have fun, and get to know one another.

Faith & Formation - A short, engaging talk introduces the night's topic, connecting Catholic teaching and Scripture to the real questions and experiences of middle school students.

Small Groups - Youth break into smaller groups, generally organized by grade and/or gender, where they can share their thoughts, ask questions, and explore the topic alongside their peers and Core Leaders.

Prayer & Encounter - We finish each night with an opportunity to put our faith into practice through a prayerful activity and a time of prayer together in the church.

And of course, there's always a snack!

More Than Just a Youth Program

At EDGE, we believe that youth ministry is first and foremost about relationships.

Our mission isn't simply to teach young people about Jesus. We want to help them come to know Him personally through the relationships they build, the community they experience, and the example of the people walking alongside them.

Our dedicated team of Core Leaders works to create an environment where every young person feels welcomed, valued, and known. Through consistent leadership and small group mentorship, we hope to help our youth grow in confidence, develop a deeper relationship with Christ, and recognize that they have a place in the life of the Church.

We don't just want our youth to learn about Christ's love. We want them to experience it.

✝️Suggested Donation: $75 for the year

Registration donations help us cover the cost of snacks, supplies, and activities throughout the year. No young person or family will ever be turned away for financial reasons.

EDGE Camp

The EDGE experience doesn't end when the school year does!

Each summer, our EDGE youth have the opportunity to participate in EDGE Camp, an exciting faith-filled camp experience at Camp White Pine in Haliburton, Ontario, alongside young people from other parishes throughout the Archdiocese of Toronto's western region.

Camp is an opportunity for youth to step away from their regular routines, build deeper friendships, enjoy exciting outdoor activities, and grow closer to Christ through prayer, worship, and community.

For many of our youth, EDGE Camp becomes one of the highlights of their entire year!

Information about EDGE Camp 2027, including dates, registration, and pricing, will be shared when available.
