What is Mini-Holydays?

Holydays is a Catholic day camp at Holy Family Church for children who are currently enrolled in JK through Grade 6 that runs over the summer. Mini-Holydays is our March Break version! It is staffed by trained high school and post-secondary volunteers. Holydays is a fun place to grow in the Catholic faith. We offer prayer, singing, faith instruction and weekly mass. This program takes place at Holy Family Church. 

What is the difference between Holydays and Mini-Holydays?

• There is no kinder program, only Primary/Junior
• Camp takes place at the Church, not the School
• Spots are limited to 36 campers per day
• Outside of trips/supplies, all funds raised are being put towards our Life Teen Summer conference and our Edge Camp to help cover some of the costs!

Session Dates and Times

The day camp will run over the course of March Break. Camp hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Session 1: March 11th – 15th  2024

Activities

At Holydays, we allow the campers to “create their own adventure.” Campers are offered a choice of activities, which include hockey, cooking, soccer, crafts, drama, dodge ball, dance, and much more! Activities are offered separately for each of the three age groups (Kindergarten, Primary, and Junior).

Outings

This year we will not have a trip on the Thursday of March Break. Trips will resume this summer.

Mass 

We will be attending mass with the Parish on Tuesday and Friday at 10:00am. Parents are welcome to join us.

Fees

The registration fee includes supervision, supplies, and outings/special event days. Children currently enrolled in Grades 1 through 3 attend the Primary Program while children currently enrolled in Grades 4 through 6 attend the Junior Program.

T-Shirts

T-Shirts will not be supplied for the March Break session in order to put more funds towards our youth. If you have a Holydays t-shirt already we encourage you to wear it on trip day! 

Extended Care Program

An Extended Care Program is available for parents who require additional hours of supervision for their children. 

Morning care: 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM ($5.00 per day) Afternoon care: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM ($5.00 per day)

Registration Procedure

Registration opens on February 3rd, at 10:00 AM (office open for paymern at 3:30pm) and will be online. Please be aware that space is limited, and registration is on a first-come-first-serve basis. We recommend you submit your registration early to avoid disappointment. It will be announced once spots are full and following registrations will be put into a wait list in case spots open. Payment is not taken unless you have received a spot.

Payment

Full payment is required at the time of registration. There will be no exceptions made to this policy. Payment can be made by credit/debit, cash or by cheque to the parish office. There is a $30 charge for all cheques that are deemed Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF).

Refund Policy

If there is a waitlist for the chosen session and the request has been received more than two weeks prior to the start date, then a full refund, less a $30 withdrawal fee per participant per session, will be issued. No refund will be issued if there is no waitlist for the chosen session or if the request is received less than two weeks prior to the start date.

What should my child bring to camp? 

Parents will be contacted one week prior to the start of each session to outline activities that will be happening. Please remember to bring the following items each day:
