Lector

The Liturgy of the Word is a time for listening attentively to the Word of God proclaimed in our midst. The lector proclaims the amazing deeds that God has done and is doing in our midst.

The expectation of the Church is that those who perform a liturgical ministry be fully initiated (Baptized, Confirmed and Celebrated First Eucharist). To serve as lector it is important to have a strong voice and be comfortable speaking in public.
