The Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion are called to be people who extend hospitality to all and to recognize that in the act of serving the Body and Blood of Christ we are serving God’s chosen people.
The expectation of the Church is that those who perform a liturgical ministry be fully initiated (Baptized, Confirmed and Celebrated First Eucharist). To serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion it is important for the person to be at ease with others and comfortable in greeting people of all ages and backgrounds.
At Holy Family Parish the Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion serve at each celebration of Mass. If you are interested in finding out more about this ministry please call the parish office and leave your contact information including the mass time you normally worship.
